We are always on the lookout for great talent and hard working individuals to take our building automation control company to the next level. We are currently hiring for the following position:

  • Automation Programmer

Please keep in mind, this is not an entry level position.

At Colorado Controls, we are involved in a fast-paced construction industry with future plans of focusing on energy management for retrofit installs. We focus on design build projects, class A commercial buildings, process control, breweries, integration, schools, colleges, and much more. We are looking for individuals that are experienced with the following:

  • Basic control programming skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex controls system components, utilizing standard hand tools and digital metering or calibration equipment
  • Troubleshooting DDC control and mechanical systems
  • Proficient with blueprint interpretation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Effectively managing projects
  • Ability to diagnose electrical wiring
  • Requirements:

  • Vocational School
  • Four year program or an associate’s degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field. We would also accept an equivalent military occupational specialty, plus two years of industry experience or three years of experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry (this is helpful but not required).
  • Flexibility to work some overtime/weekends.
  • Proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • General understanding of IP networks.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Familiar with DDC systems.
  • Education Level
  • High School Diploma and/or Trade School
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving history.

BUILDING AUTOMATION PROJECT MANAGER

**THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION**

Colorado Controls is currently seeking a Building Automation and Temperature Controls Project Manager.  

The focus of this open position is to assist these projects from turnover to completion, while keeping the customer our main priority and ensuring that we are turning over a professional Building Automation Project.  

Project manager Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for project layout to field install crews
  • Ensures project materials have been ordered correctly and delivered prior to install crews starting the project. 
  • Provide professional technical advice and direction for installation crews to provide a professional installation to programming team. 
  • Manages all project schedules to keep installation, programming and graphic teams properly coordinated for completion
  • Manages and creates all RFI’s and Change orders.  Ensures proper follow up to keep projects on schedule.
  • Works closely with Project coordinator to properly gauge project man hour and budgets.  
  • Consist communication is key with field and office personnel to gauge progress within projects.  This accounts for keeping material in front of install crews, Keeping Redlines up to date, updating programmers with proper schedules to be onsite, owners’ trainings and other duties.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Years in Building Automation and Controls Experience REQUIRED.  
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, Controls systems, Building Automation and Building automation networks, Energy management, engineering, electrical installation, Low Voltage installation, Project management and Commercial Construction. 
  • Strong leadership Skills
  • Excellent written and Verbal skills
  • Must have a current Valid Drivers license with good driving record.  This position is required that you have a company vehicle
